In partnership with Rescued Pets Movement, Houston PetSet often sponsors the cost of transporting animals in need to RPM’s out-of-state receiving groups. We were so happy to receive the below update from our friends!
“With the help of our rescue partners, Summit County Animal Control and Shelter, we (Rescued Pets Movement) saved Momma Henna a few months back.
On her freedom ride, she was cautious and careful. Her body language screamed how uncertain she was, even with the loving guidance of the volunteer who drove her to our clinic.
Luckily, it didn’t take Henna long to warm up! She went into a local foster until it was time to head north, and in no time she was off on her big adventure!
It didn’t take long after her arrival at Summit County for someone to see what a special girl she was! Her new mom happily reports:
She’s one groovy girl and we are so in love with her! We couldn’t have asked for a more loving, smart, and silly girl! She has been loving the Copper life, comes to work with me, and did amazing on her first road trip to California and back… camping the whole way! We’re currently leash training her for long hikes (she loves to stop and smell the roses) in hopes to start her backpacking adventures!”
Collaboration between like-minded organizations is critical in making a difference, #ForTheAnimals. Thank you, Rescued Pets Movement!
