NO MORE CHAINS FOR TEXAS DOGS!

The Safe Outdoor Dogs bill, Senate Bill 474, has passed the House and the Senate, and it is now on its way to the Governor’s desk to be signed into law.

Without you, this day would not be possible #ForTheAnimals. We appreciate every friend, advocate and supporter who emailed their Representative and Senator to request their support. Because of you, the lives of outdoor dogs will now be more tolerable and humane.

A resounding “thank you” goes out to companion bill authors State Representative Nicole Collier and Senator Eddie Lucio, and the dozens of co-authors who took a stand for those without voices – the animals.

Finally, to our friends at the Texas Humane Legislation Network (THLN), thank you for fearlessly leading the charge on the heroic efforts carried out for this bill. We cannot imagine what life would be like for the animals of Texas without you.

So what’s next?

Stay tuned for more information and action alerts regarding House Bill 1818, legislation that would create a civil penalty for pet stores selling puppies and kittens from puppy mills across the state and help put an end to cruel puppy mill practices. The 87th Texas Legislative Session is not over yet!
