All stray dog Noodle wanted was someone to love. Two weeks ago, he found himself searching for comfort after arriving at a local shelter. His sad intake photo said it all, “Someone please come and rescue me.” However, in order for us to save Noodle, we needed a short-term foster to care for him until transport day.

Noodle found his saviors in three Rice University students who selflessly stepped up to provide him with a temporary home. And Noodle settled in quickly! In the words of his foster, “We’d walk around campus and Noodle would be upset if people didn’t come over to pet him.”

This morning, Noodle and 80 of his fellow formerly homeless dogs and cats boarded the big red bus for a journey to Minnesota. Short-term fosters provide us the ability to keep the cycle of lifesaving going, and you too can be a part of this group of heroes!
