Dara and her littermate were abandoned at one of the bayous in Harris County, and the person that found them brought them home and called animal control to pick them up.

Both pups had skin issues, giardia, and coccidia, so Dr. White of Harris County Pets personally fostered the puppies until it came time for them to transport to our friends at The Babinski Foundation.

Shortly after arriving, this little husky mix found her forever home. Dara’s new mom told us that she is the last dog that she wants to adopt in life, and she was searching for a companion sensitively, waiting for a sign. Their connection and bond have been strengthening ever since.

We are so happy that our transport program could provide sweet, smart, and calm Dara with a second chance at life. Stories like hers always reaffirm our work #ForTheAnimals!
