Abandoned Animal Rescue is a Non-profit 501(c)(3) no-kill animal shelter and low-cost spay/neuter clinic, located in Tomball, Texas. Their mission is to end the unnecessary euthanasia of helpless animals and to place them in permanent homes for the duration of their lives and to properly educate about responsible pet ownership.

 

Boston Terrier Rescue of Greater Houston

 

Boston Terrier Rescue is a 501(c)(3)non-profit corporation dedicated solely to the rescue, rehabilitation, and permanent placement of abandoned, neglected, abused, and surrendered Boston Terriers.

 

Buster's Friends

 

Buster’s Friends, Inc is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to helping homeless and abandoned animals in the City of Houston. Buster's Friends provides medical care in the form of vaccinations, testing, spay/neuter services to all of their animals prior to adopting them into loving forever homes.

Cocker Spaniel Rescue (CSR) is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to finding forever homes for abandoned, mistreated, unloved, unwanted or lost cocker spaniels. CSR is a 501(c)(3) organization and chartered in the State of Texas.

Friends of BARC

 

Friends of BARC, Inc. is a non-profit corporation that supports the humane care and treatment of the animals in the City of Houston Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care.

 

Friends of Montgomery County Texas Animal Shelter

 

FMCTAS is a Texas 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization dedicated to saving and providing medical assistance, spay, and neutering to the animals. On average, 2,000 dogs and cats are brought into the shelter each month. All of these animals are required to be spayed or neutered and many of these animals desperately need medical attention, but Montgomery County does not have the funds to support their treatment, therefore FMCTAS needs your help.

 

Golden Beginnings Golden Retriever Rescue

 

GBGRR is a non-profit organization, staffed solely by volunteers, devoted to providing rescue and necessary veterinary medical care for unwanted, neglected, abused, homeless and displaced Golden Retrievers.

 

Greater Houston German Shepherd Dog Rescue

 

GHGSDR is a 501(c)(3) exempt volunteer organization dedicated to saving as many German Shepherds in the Greater Houston, Texas area as humanly possible --based on current resources of available foster homes, the rate at which we can find suitably matched adoptive homes, and, of course, financial resources for veterinary care.

 

Homeless and Orphaned Pet Endeavor

 

HOPE is an all-foster, no kill adoption group based in the Houston area. HOPE covers the cost of general medical expenses for the animals in the program, such as altering, routine vaccinations and treatment for parasites.

 

The Homeless Pet Placement League

 

The Homeless Pet Placement League (HPPL) is a nonprofit animal welfare organization that provides for the rehabiliation and adoption of stray and abandoned dogs and cats. The HPPL does not operate a shelter; animals are cared for in the homes of those who rescue them.

 

Houston Area Doberman Rescue

 

The Houston Area Doberman Rescue, Inc. (HADR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation and has NO paid volunteers. HADR's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and place Doberman Pinschers in responsible and caring homes in addition to providing a resource for public education on the breed and responsible dog ownership.

 

Houston Beagle and Hound Rescue

 

Houston Beagle and Hound Rescue, Inc. (HBHR) is a non-profit 501-(c)-3, all-volunteer organization dedicated to beagle and hound rescue. HBHR provides placement assistance to shelters and individuals who need to find homes for hounds which, for various reasons, have become stray or homeless.

 

Houston Boxer Rescue

 

Houston Boxer Rescue (HBR) was born out of a deep love for the boxer breed and a desire to help end the suffering of boxers due to neglect, abuse, or abandonment. HBR is dedicated to insuring that the dogs in our program get the second chance they deserve and never find themselves lost, alone, or abused, again.

 

Houston Dog Park Association

 

The Houston Dog Park Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to opening a network of dog parks in Houston and the surrounding communities. They are working with the City of Houston and Harris County to identify locations for dog parks.

 

Houston Humane Society

 

The Houston Humane Society (HHS) is a non-profit animal shelter dedicated to eliminating cruelty, abuse, and the overpopulation of animals. HHS receives no federal, state, or local funding and rely solely on donations and special events. HHS is committed to creating the awareness of animal rights throughout the Houston community by providing numerous animal welfare programs for Houston area residents and their pets, including pet adoptions, humane education, R.A.I.D.E.R. cruelty investigations, and Houston's only $30 spay and neuter clinic.

 

Houston SPCA

 

The Houston SPCA, founded in 1924, is Houston’s first and largest animal protection organization and shelter. Houston SPCA's mission is to promote commitment to and respect for all animals and free them from suffering, abuse and exploitation. The Houston SPCA is a private, non-profit charity, funded entirely by donations, which receives no funding from the Government, United Way or national animal groups.

 

Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston - aniMeals on Wheels

 

For some of Interfaith Ministries' clients the cost and ability to acquire food for their best friends is an impractical task. To help decrease the burden that seniors feel when it comes to feeding themselves and their pet companion, Meals on Wheels for Greater Houston initiated the aniMeals program, which provides donated pet food to the pet companions of Meals on Wheels recipients.

 

Lone Star Boxer Rescue

 

Lone Star Boxer Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR is run and managed by volunteers. LSBR's main objective is to rescue and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources, including local animal shelters, owner surrenders and strays.

 

Lucky Dog Rescue

 

Lucky Dog Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 tax exempt non profit animal welfare organization dedicated to providing rescue services, vet care, foster care and adoptive placement to stray and abandoned dogs.

 

North American Shar Pei Rescue

 

NASPR is committed to the Rescue and placement in permanent homes of as many abandoned or abused purebred Chinese Shar-Pei as possible.

 

PAWS Houston

 

The mission of PAWS Houston is to help sustain relationships between pet owners and their pets through a period of the owner's terminal and/or chronic illness in the hospital, hospice and at home. PAWS Houston arranges and facilitates personal pet visits to the hospital, hospice, nursing home and rehabilitation centers to improve physical and mental health for the pet owner. PAWS Houston participates in research to support that the human-animal bond is beneficial.

 

Pup Squad Animal Rescue

 

The goal of our Pup Squad is to save as many puppies and nursing litters as possible from life on the streets BEFORE they even enter the shelters. Pup Squad also wants to work with BARC, and other area shelters, to rescue litters from the shelters QUICKLY...before they are exposed to the diseases of shelter life.

 

Red Collar Rescue

 

Red Collar Rescue, Inc., is a non profit animal welfare organization dedicated to providing rescue services, vet care, foster care, and adoptive placement to stray and abandoned dogs and cats.

 

Rescue Bank

 

Rescue Bank is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization committed to supporting the animal rescue and rehabilitation community with much-needed supplies and services. Operating on the "food bank" model, Rescue Bank is a collection and redistribution point for surplus pet supplies and donations. Rescue Bank works to relieve area rescue groups and fosters of one of their most difficult tasks- identifying and soliciting donors for the everyday supplies needed to keep their animals healthy.

 

Scout's Honor Rescue

 

Scout’s Honor Rescue is an all-breed, no-kill, Not-For-Profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization committed to bringing Courage, Character and Compassion to Houston’s homeless pet population and making a positive difference in the lives of these stray and abandoned animals and the Houston community as a whole. 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to saving the life of a homeless animal.

 

Second Chance Pets

 

Second Chance Pets (SCP) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 animal welfare organization dedicated (a) to providing unwanted pets a second chance through foster care and pet adoption programs, (b) to educating the public about proper care for their own animals and about animal welfare issues, and (c) to working with the public, other rescue groups, and public officials to help resolve the problem of animal overpopulation.

Southeast Texas Labrador Retriever Rescue

 

Southeast Texas Labrador Retriever Rescue's Mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home neglected, abused and unwanted Labrador Retrievers throughout the Southeast Texas Region including Houston and the surrounding areas.

 

Spay and Neuter Assistance Program

 

SNAP's mission is to prevent the suffering and death of cats and dogs due to overpopulation and preventable diseases, especially in low-income areas.

 

Texas Old English Sheepdog Rescue

 

Texas Old English Sheepdog Rescue is a group of volunteers who give their time and love to the rescued Sheepdogs who come into the program.

 

Tomball S.O.S.

 

Tomball S.O.S. is dedicated to serving the community of Tomball, Magnolia, Pinehurst, and nearby areas by trapping, neutering, and returning feral cats, helping businesses and individuals with feral and lost cats, and providing a means of reaching the public in order to rehome tame found cats and kittens.
