Volunteering

Volunteers are needed to perform various tasks at the Highland Village Adoption Center including walking, bathing, feeding, etc. If you're interested, please contact Deb Gebhardt for more information.

Other Ways to Help

All of the animals adopted through the HIghland Village Adoption Center are spayed or neutered. Spayed or neutered pets lead happier, healthier lives and help limit the exponential, detrimental effects that an unspayed or unneutered animal may have. Please consider supporting the Adoption Center by underwriting the cost of an average spay or neuter of a cat or dog by clicking on the appropriate gift icon below (cost is for average spay or neuter).

Canine Spay or Neuter - $60

Spayed dogs are less likely to develop mammary tumors and avoid the dangers of giving birth. Dogs that have been neutered have less of desire to bolt from the house or yard, neutering helps protect dogs from injuries and diseases associated with roaming in search of a mate.1

Feline Spay or Netuer - $40

Spayed cats are less likely to develop mammary tumors and avoid the dangers of giving birth. As with unneutered male dogs, an urge to breed increases the chances that a male cat will slip out of the house in search of a mate and suffer fight wounds and other injuries.2
